The trip at a glance
The itinerary keeps Anaheim as your single base so the family can unpack once, then choose when to use the parks, the car and the slower days.
Fly to Los Angeles and settle into Anaheim
Depart Sydney on a nonstop economy flight to Los Angeles. Collect the SUV after arrival and drive to Anaheim. Check in for ten nights and keep the day light so everyone can adjust to the time zone.
A slow start in Anaheim
Use the day to settle in before the theme-park days begin. Downtown Disney, the hotel pool, local shopping or an easy family day all work well.
Disneyland Park
Spend the day at Disneyland Park. Your package includes a three-day, one-park-per-day ticket, so you can plan the park days around the family rather than rushing through both parks.
Free day to rest or explore
Take a break between park days. Use the SUV for shopping, a beach visit or simply enjoy a slower day around Anaheim.
Hollywood and the Los Angeles coast
Drive into Los Angeles for a self-guided day. Depending on your family’s interests, possible stops include Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and Venice Beach.
Disney California Adventure
Visit Disney California Adventure for a different mix of attractions, themed areas and rides. This park often works particularly well for older children and teenagers.
Universal Studios Hollywood or a free day
Use the hire car for an optional day at Universal Studios Hollywood, or keep the day open for the coast, outlets or another easy family day.
Your third Disneyland day
Return to either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure for the third included park day and revisit the attractions your family enjoyed most.
San Diego day trip
Drive south for a day in San Diego. La Jolla, Coronado, the waterfront and Balboa Park can all work well, with San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld and other attractions available separately.
A flexible final day
Keep the final full day free for another attraction, shopping, the beach or simply a slower day before the flight home.
Return the car and fly home
Check out, enjoy some final time in Southern California, return the SUV at Los Angeles Airport and depart on an evening nonstop flight back to Sydney.

No. It was current as at 3 August 2026 and is subject to live airline, hotel, ticket and car-hire availability. I will reprice the package for your family before you commit to anything.
Can the dates be changed?
Yes. The advertised trip is built around the January school holidays, but nearby dates can be checked if they suit your family better. A change in dates may change the airfare, hotel and attraction pricing.
Can we add Universal Studios Hollywood?
Yes. Universal Studios Hollywood is shown as an optional day in the itinerary and tickets can be added to your quote.
Can we spend more time in San Diego?
Yes. The advertised version keeps one Anaheim base for simplicity, but the itinerary can be changed to include a short San Diego stay if your family would rather spend more time there.
